July 8, 2020: It is with great sadness that we announce
the 2020 Canaseraga Fall Harvest Festival has been cancelled.
After much discussion it was decided the safety of our community comes first. The rules and regulations supplied to us by the county were very extensive and it would be nearly impossible for us to keep in compliance. Thank you for your continued support as we look forward to next year.
5/24/20: So here we are in 2020. No school, graduation, senior trip, prom, sports. No shopping, parties, or live music. No travelling, vacations, or cruising. No social gatherings. Hmmm...that's a problem. How do you plan a Festival when your county/state/country is in the middle of a COVID-19 pandemic. We don't know the answer to that question. Many festivals and events surrounding us have cancelled for the summer. Because we are a fall event, will things change enough by then that we can have a populated social event? Can we dance to Lucky Number? Can the kids bounce in the bounce house? There are many unanswered questions. It takes months to plan the Festival, which means we can't wait til July to start sending vendor applications and looking for entertainment. Our mailings are usually done by May. So at this time, we wait. We don't know what September holds. When we have made a decision, we will let the community know. It's a hard year for everyone. Please continue to stay safe and be aware of social distancing.
